“Rest in Peace, Lesego Masina — Gone Too Soon”
In a heartbreaking turn of events, 32-year-old Lesego Masina was brutally shot and killed during a robbery at her family home in Boikhutsong, Phase 8. The tragedy has shaken her community and left her loved ones in deep mourning. 💐
“They ransacked the house, demanded phones and valuables, tied up the family, and forced them to identify themselves… Then they took Lesego into a bedroom and shot her in the forehead. She died instantly.” 😭
No one deserves to die like this — especially not someone as joyful, peaceful, and full of love as Lesego. Her life was taken in an act of senseless violence, leaving behind grief, trauma, and countless unanswered questions.
She was laid to rest on Sunday, 27 July, at Soshanguve Crossing Cemetery, surrounded by friends and family who spoke of her kindness, infectious laughter, and generous spirit. 🕊️
Her passing is a painful reminder of the violence that continues to plague communities — and the innocent souls it steals. Today, we remember Lesego Masina not for the way her life ended, but for the way she lived: with light, laughter, and love.
