Shebeshxt Accused of Shooting Motorist in Shocking Road Rage Incident

Tearaway hip-hop artist Shebeshxt is reportedly facing yet another brush with the law after allegedly shooting a motorist during a road rage altercation in Polokwane, Limpopo, on Tuesday night.

According to reports, the motorist — who was allegedly shot in the solar plexus — is currently fighting for his life in a Polokwane hospital’s intensive care unit.

Sources say an argument broke out between Shebeshxt, real name Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, and another motorist following a dispute over reckless driving on one of Polokwane’s busy streets. The confrontation escalated when both men stopped at a nearby filling station.

Witnesses allege that the rapper, known for his hit song Ambulancepulled out a firearm and shot the motorist before getting back into his vehicle and driving off.

Police confirmed that a case of attempted murder has been opened at Westenburg Police Station. Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has directed the Murder and Robbery Unit to take over the case.

“The police have a person of interest, and when investigations are completed, necessary actions will be taken. The investigation has been intensified, and an arrest is imminent,”
said Ledwaba.

Sources allege that Shebeshxt was initially detained after surrendering to police through his lawyers but was later released pending further investigation, sparking outrage from the victim’s family.

The family reportedly expressed frustration at the artist’s release, threatening to take matters into their own hands if justice is not served.

Police have urged the public to allow them space to conclude their investigation.
