“Sibongile & The Dlaminis Bids Farewell After Two Seasons — Fans React as Telenovela Ends”
Sibongile & The Dlaminis, one of South Africa’s most beloved telenovelas, has officially come to an end. The fan-favourite series aired its final episode on Wednesday, 23 July 2025, closing the curtain on a successful two-season run.
Entertainment commentator Jabu Macdonald first confirmed the news, which was later verified by Mzansi Magic’s PR Specialist, Irvin Pooe. The show, which once dominated as the most-watched telenovela on DStv’s Mzansi Wethu, had briefly paused production in March before its official conclusion.
