Renowned broadcaster Sizwe Dhlomo weighed in after musician The Kiffness alleged losing a R500K campaign following his defence of Charlie Kirk on social media.
The Kiffness, whose real name is David Scott, revealed he allegedly lost a R500,000 business deal after backing Charlie Kirk, the right-wing conservative who was shot dead last week.
The Cape Town-based musician shared the news on X, sparking intense debate over the cost of outspoken views.
He even posted what appeared to be a rejection letter, suggesting his social media activity led to the deal’s collapse.
Using characteristic wit, Dhlomo reacted to his claim and tweeted: “Lol! Who was dumb enough to pay you R500k to begin with?” in response to The Kiffness’ claims.

He emphasised that his support for the controversial right-wing activist directly influenced the company’s decision to withdraw the proposed collaboration. This claim has been met with scepticism from some South Africans.
Although largely ignoring widespread criticism, The Kiffness singled out a journalist accusing him of lying, sarcastically asking, “Sure you want to go down that road?”
In recent days, The Kiffness has publicly shared his opinions on Charlie Kirk, reflecting on the activist’s death during a Utah sniper attack.
The South African musician tweeted about the controversial right-wing figure, offering his perspective while generating further discussion and debate among his online followers.
