‘Super nervous’: Rachel Kolisi on first solo vacation
Rachel Kolisi opened up about taking her first solo vacation over New Year’s while Siya was with the kids in Zimbabwe.
Rachel Kolisi opened up about taking her first vacation without her kids via an Instagram post on Saturday 4 January.
‘VERY FULL HEART’: RACHEL KOLISI ON FIRST SOLO VACATION
Rachel Kolisi, the estranged wife of Springboks captain Siya Kolisi, opened up about taking her first vacation alone, since the pair announced their split in October 2021. Siya and Rachel have two kids together – Nicholas (10) and Keziah (7). The pair had also adopted Siya’s two siblings Liyema and Liphelo when they were younger. So, the former couple has a family of six.
Rachel expressed that this year marked her first New Year without the kids and she decided to take a trip to Botswana. She explained that she is an introvert. So, she arrived nervous but left with a happy heart.
“This was my first holiday/new year without my kiddies, so instead of staying home sad and alone I went on my dream trip to Botswana 🇧🇼 Its the first solo trip I’ve done, and I’m an introvert, so I arrived super nervous, and sad and left with a very full heart and so many amazing new friends from all over the world,” she wrote.
“Botswana will always have a big piece of my heart,” she continued.

Siya, Liyema, Liphelo, Nicholas and Keziah spent New Year’s in Zimbabwe visiting Victoria Falls while Rachel was in Botswana. In the photo dump from Zimbabwe, Siya also shared a powerful quote amid the divorce.
