SWEET GULUVA CONTINUES TO SOAR AS HE BAGS AN ACTING GIG

The reality TV star has officially joined BET’s brand-new daily drama, Black Gold. This is according to entertainment commentator Jabulani Macdonald, who shared the exciting news on X (formerly Twitter).

“Big Brother Mzansi Season 5 winner Sweet Guluva has joined the cast of BET’s new daily drama series ‘Black Gold’. The show premieres on 18 August 2025 at 18:30 on channel 129,” reported McDonald.

The news comes after he was spotted dancing with actress Dawn Thandeka King while on the set of the show.

The show is set to feature stars like Nomsa Buthelezi, Dawn Thandeka King, Warren Masemola, Sello Maake kaNcube, Nomalanga Shozi, Zamani Mbatha, and many more.

SWEET GULUVA’S RISE TO STARDOM CONTINUES
Before landing the role, he collaborated with All Gold, dazzling fans with his energy and signature dance moves after his Big Brother win.

The All Gold School Tour, part of the All Gold Dance Challenge, recently visited Mgazi Secondary School in Nquthu for a special appearance. He toured with fellow ambassador Somizi Mhlongo, where both took the stage to encourage and uplift learners with heartfelt inspiration.

Sweet Guluva spoke candidly about his experience with All Gold and why this initiative holds personal significance for him.

“Wow, what a wow! God is working, and God is aligning. All Gold has always been a part of my life, so receiving that call felt like a full-circle moment.”

He emphasised the importance of showing young people what’s possible when they stay committed, hopeful, and believe in their potential.

“By going from school to school, we’re showing learners that their dreams are valid and achievable. It’s about planting the belief that they have the power to shape their own future – and that giving up should never be an option,” he said.
