The body of Jayden Lee, who went missing on Tuesday, May 13, has been discovered

It was found on the stairs of his residential complex in Fleurhof on Wednesday morning, May 14.

He was allegedly discovered bruised and wearing only his underpants on the staircase leading to the front door of the flat he shared with his mother.

The boy was reportedly last seen on Tuesday when his scholar transport dropped him off at his residence around 3:30pm.

Tragically, he never made it to his flat.

His family reported him missing to the Florida cop shop on Tuesday night, which led to a search effort.

A visibly upset resident, Mpho Morare, said she received a call when the boy went missing, as his mother was at home, working remotely.

“I am informed that the security guard saw the boy when his transport dropped him off. We suspect he was abducted here in this residential.”

“We found him dead in the morning. This after the police refused to search each unit without a warrant.”

She added that the police came to the scene after a body was found, and the police dogs were seen sniffing around.

“We found him wearing underwear without his vest. His school uniform was not there. His school bag is also missing.”

Angry residents conducted forceful door-to-door searches of apartments in the complex, desperately hoping to find the missing school uniform and schoolbooks.

Police spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo confirmed that the kid was reported missing on Tuesday and was found in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

“The boy was certified dead upon his arrival in the hospital,” he said.
