‘The River’ Star Ontshiametse Molekoa Suffers Burn Injuries in Cooking Accident
The River actor Ontshiametse Molekoa has shared that he is recovering from burn injuries after a traumatic accident involving hot cooking oil.

In a heartfelt message to his followers, the actor revealed that the incident left his face burned, describing the experience as both physically and emotionally painful.
“I’ve been through a traumatic experience that has left me scarred, both physically and emotionally. The accident with hot cooking oil has left my face burned, and I’m struggling to come to terms with the impact it will have on my career,” Molekoa wrote.
As an actor, he said, his face is a vital part of his craft. “My face is my livelihood, my tool, my everything. The thought of not being able to pursue my passion, to bring characters to life, to entertain and inspire you all, is almost too much to bear,” he shared.
Despite the emotional toll, Molekoa expressed deep gratitude for the support he has received from fans, friends, and colleagues since the incident.
“Your messages, calls, and prayers have lifted my spirits and given me strength during this difficult time. I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart,” he said.
He added that his recovery is going well, crediting his medical team for their care and support.
“I’m taking it one day at a time, focusing on healing and rebuilding. I have faith that everything happens for a reason, and I’m trusting that this too shall pass.”
Molekoa said he will be taking some time off to focus on his recovery and has promised to keep his supporters updated on his journey.
“I don’t know when I’ll be back in action, but I promise to keep you all updated. Thank you for standing by me, for loving me, and for being my rock.”
He ended his message with a note of love and gratitude to his supporters.
