Reality TV star, radio personality, and businesswoman Thobile “MaKhumalo” Khumalo continues to make waves across Africa and beyond. She has been officially announced as one of the winners at the Africa Stars Gala 2025, which will take place from 12 to 14 December 2025 in France.

MaKhumalo will be honoured in two major categories — “Most Inspiring and Influential Woman” and “Excellence in Media & Broadcasting.” The recognition celebrates her outstanding work in African media, her inspirational leadership, and her dedication to empowering women.
As a respected radio personality, motivational speaker, and reality TV star, Thobile has continued to uplift others through her voice, her work, and her authenticity. The Africa Stars Gala committee praised her for representing “excellence, creativity, and transformative impact in broadcasting and media.”
While her big recognition has fans celebrating, Thobile recently faced a personal challenge. A few days ago, she shared that her MTN number and WhatsApp account had been hacked, with scammers using her details to ask people for money.
Thankfully, she managed to reclaim her account and shared the update online:
“I’ve successfully reclaimed my MTN number and WhatsApp account. I’d like to sincerely apologise to anyone who was inconvenienced by the hacker, and to everyone who showed concern, helped me recover my account, or spread the word — thank you so much.”
She also reminded her followers to stay cautious, adding,
“Please remember to keep your personal information secure by enabling two-factor authentication, setting SIM PINs, and staying alert. Stay safe and take care.”
