Zandie Khumalo Hits Back at Advocate Teffo Over Explosive Senzo Meyiwa Claims!

Zandie Khumalo-Gumede has fiercely hit back at Advocate Malesela Teffo after he reignited controversy surrounding the death of football star Senzo Meyiwa.

The former defence lawyer, once a key figure in the ongoing murder trial, appeared on Podcast and Chill with Mac G on 17 July 2025, where he alleged that Zandie, her sister Kelly Khumalo, and Advocate George Baloyi were connected to key events leading up to Meyiwa’s death.

Teffo claimed that Zandie had joined Kelly, Meyiwa, and one of the footballer’s friends on a trip that triggered tensions with her then-boyfriend, Longwe Twala. He alleged that upon her return, a confrontation with Twala turned violent, resulting in a gunshot injury to her legs and an attempted murder case being filed.

Zandie Responds: “Teffo is Desperate for Relevance”

Zandie has outright dismissed the accusations, labelling Teffo as attention-hungry.

“I didn’t watch the podcast, and I have no intention of watching it. Teffo is a mad man, desperate for relevance. He clearly misses the attention and spotlight he got from being involved in the case, shame,” she said.

Refusing to engage further, she added, “Ngeke ngivumelane or ngiphikisane nohlanya. Uyahlanya loyamuntu, animuboni nina?” (“I can’t agree or argue with a mad man. Can’t you all see he’s lost it?”).

Affidavit Claims and NPA Silence

Teffo also referred to an affidavit allegedly linked to Longwe Twala, but Zandie dismissed it entirely.

“I don’t know about any affidavit from Longwe, nor do I want to know. This man is broke and desperate. If he needs help, he must just open a GoFundMe instead of dragging people into his nonsense,” she said.

Senzo Meyiwa’s brother, Sifiso, confirmed watching the interview but declined to comment. Meanwhile, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has yet to respond to Teffo’s claims regarding Advocate Baloyi.

The case, which continues to grip the nation, remains unresolved as new allegations fuel ongoing public speculation.
