Zodwa Wabantu gets engaged to her new Ben 10, Bongani Masina! Controversial entertainer Zodwa Wabantu is officially engaged to her partner of one year and seven months, Bongani Masina, 34.
The couple, who’ve been inseparable, revealed that Masina surprised Zodwa with flowers and a ring in December.
“Every 21st of every month is our anniversary,” Zodwa told TshisaLIVE. “I don’t want to die without sex or a ring on my finger. Even if I marry 11 or 17 times, I’ll do it. I work hard to be happy.”

Known for dating younger men, Zodwa laughed off the seven-year gap, saying, “Have you seen me date a man my age? Never.”
Wedding Plans and Independence
While she confirmed a wedding is on the horizon, Zodwa is keeping things unconventional. “I don’t want a white wedding. I might wake up and decide to throw a celebration or just do Home Affairs. I don’t want people eating my money. I don’t like people that much,” she joked.
Disappearance and Sobriety
In December, Zodwa was mugged in Kempton Park and went off the radar after losing her phone. Speculation swirled that she was in hiding following an altercation at KwaKhehla Tavern, but Zodwa insists she simply took a break.
“I couldn’t log into social media. My ancestors wanted me to pause. I even quit alcohol seven months ago because they told me to stop,” she explained.
Zodwa’s Warning
Zodwa also issued a stern message: “I won’t disappear. Anyone who disrespects me will be dealt with. Some people need a beating. I don’t want nonsense, so I don’t go out.”
The entertainer says she’s focused on her relationship and happiness, living life entirely on her terms.
